University of Kentucky - The Graduate School - Center for Biomedical Engineering

Admission and Application

Mold of a Pelvis Entering students are expected to have an ABET-accredited degree in engineering with some course work in the biological sciences. Applicants with degrees in physical or biological sciences may be required to complete course work in the undergraduate engineering curriculum before being admitted to the graduate program. Admission to the biomedical engineering graduate programs normally requires GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 for all graduate and undergraduate work, and Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores of ≥650 for Quantitative, ≥500 for Verbal, and ≥4.0 for Analytical. Additional application materials include a statement describing your reasons for wanting to pursue graduate education in Biomedical Engineering and letters of recommendations from three (3) faculty members who are familiar with your academic record. Satisfying the above requirements does not guarantee admission to the biomedical engineering graduate program. Applications are reviewed by a committee of CBME faculty on a rolling basis.

Students interested in applying to the Biomedical Engineering Program may obtain applications directly from:
